Treedolist Help

What is treedolist?

Treedolist is a hierarchical system for organising personal information. You can store tasks, lists, weblinks, notes, RSS feeds and more. You can manipulate your tree in a simple, intuitive interface with drag-and-drop or keyboard shortcuts. You can categorise items in your tree by due date or urgency. You can share single items or whole branches of your tree with your friends.

Getting started

Use your openid URL to log in to treedolist, or get an openid identity from myopenid.com.
When you have logged in, you can create a list like this: annotated screenshot of treedolist You can drag and drop items to change the order in the list or to move items between branches.

RSS feeds

You can import RSS feeds into your treedolist. Most of the time, you can just enter the url of the feed as the weblink for an item. If this doesn't give you the feed, you can substitute "feed://" for "http://" in the url.

Sharing

You can share a branch of a tree with other treedolist users. First, click 'share' from the menu and enter the openid URL of the person you want to share with.

You can share a branch with more users by clicking 'share' again and entering another openid URL. Once a branch is shared, anyone who has been invited can edit it or move things around within it. Moving items out of the shared branch means they are no longer shared.

The 'unshare' button removes a shared branch from your own list, so you can no longer access it.

Keyboard Shortcuts

Use arrow keys to move within your list.
Basic shortcuts are underlined in the menu.
Extra shortcuts are:

HOME first item
END last item
